As a photographer, I know the feeling all too well: the chaos that ensues when you have too much on your plate. You have a long list of things to do – from scheduling photo shoots to editing hundreds of photos, keeping up with client information and, of course, keeping your social media up to date. And let’s face it, sometimes it feels like you’re more of an administrative assistant than a photographer. But … I have fortunately discovered some tools that make my job so much more efficient. And I’d like to share them with you! In this article, I’ll tell you about my favorite tools that have made my workflow a lot easier. Hopefully they will also help you to go from chaos to order, so you can have more time for the things you really love: photographing!
1. Akiflow: My ultimate time-management tool.
If you, like me, have trouble getting everything into your schedule, then Akiflow is really for you. I always have a huge to-do list, but the way Akiflow organizes all my tasks is really a gamechanger. What I love is that you can combine everything: your e-mail, your calendar, your tasks, and even your communications. Everything comes together in one place, so I no longer have to switch between different apps. You can also link Notion to this! Wonderful! I plan my day much more efficiently now. It not only helps me get my work done faster, but also helps me stay calm because everything is nicely organized. I would say, definitely try out the free-trial via this link!
2. Sprout Studio: My all-in-one solution to automate just about everything 🙂
As a photographer, you have a lot to do, but client management and bookings have to happen. That’s where Sprout Studio has helped me tremendously. Before, I was constantly sending out quotes, arranging payments and scheduling photo shoots. With Sprout Studio, I can now automate everything. Clients book their sessions online, get automatic reminders, and I no longer have to worry about invoices and payments. What I also love is that Sprout Studio is not only for administrative tasks, but also for workflows by client type, photo galleries with beautiful web shops & even newsletters … It has made my workflow so much more efficient! 3. Social Curator: social media made easy
Social media is invaluable to my photography business, but oh boy, it takes so much time and actually I secretly don’t like it myself. Luckily, I came across Social Curator and since then social media has become so much easier. With Social Curator, not only do I get access to Dottie, the social media AI tool, but also a package of ready-made posts for Instagram, Facebook and more every month that you can easily personalize. The most beautiful images, inspiring quotes and tips – all I have to do is schedule them, which of course can be done with social curator. Not only that, but there is a really nice community & there are also plenty of action plans full of valuable marketing tips available within Social Curator that you can access immediately. What I really like is that it not only saves time, but also really helps keep my social media consistent and professional. No more stressing about what to post next! I schedule my entire content, including reels & stories, on 1 day a month. And don’t have to think about it for the rest of the month.
4. Canva: My efficient personal designer
Making designs, I can do it, but I don’t like to “tinker” :-). Thanks to Canva it goes so much faster & easier. Whether it’s social media posts, flyers for my photo shoots or an email template for clients, Canva has everything I need to quickly and easily create something beautiful. It’s super user-friendly, so I don’t have to sit at my computer for hours to create a design. The best thing about Canva is that I can create something that looks professional in no time, without having to hire a graphic designer. It saves me a tremendous amount of time, and I don’t have to worry about my visual content not matching my brand.
5. Imagen AI: My go-to app for fast and efficient Photo Editing
Of course I want my photos to look top notch, but editing can sometimes take SO much time. That is why I love Imagen AI. This tool is a real game changer: it uses AI to edit my photos quickly and consistently. What I especially love is that Imagen AI learns from my own editing style. That means my photos are automatically edited as if I did it myself, but in a fraction of the time. The beauty of Imagen AI is that it works super accurately and saves me a lot of time, especially on big shoots. I can now focus much more on the creative side of my work, while Imagen AI does the editing for me. Highly recommended for any photographer who wants to work faster without sacrificing quality.
